A big shout out to all my wonderful friends, fans and followers (the 3 f’s!) for making my exhibition such a fantastic event. Thank you so much! There is always that little tense moment before the Opening night when you ask yourself “I wonder if anyone will come?”. Well, my concerns where very short lived as my loyal following came flooding through the gallery doors right on 7. 30 pm. Phew, I’m not going to be standing in this gallery alone listening to crickets tonight! Bahaha!
It was such a fabulous night with so many people telling me how much they liked all my new works. Sigh, another relief! Especially as many of my new paintings sold on the Opening night which of course is the ultimate compliment for any artist!
The Venue for my 2016 Exhibition was the Malvern Artists Society (1297-00 High Street Malvern). My new works pay homage to my country upbringing in North East Victoria. I find that my preferred subject and indeed my inspiration is derived from nature, particularly the Australian bush landscape. River beds, rocks, tree root systems, grape wines from North East Victorian wine region, where all my subjects while pulling this body of works together.
It was also lovely to see such a diverse group of people who visited my show over the 4 day exhibition. My work speaks to people of all ages and backgrounds which is very heart warming for me. I also had many visitors over the four days who came to see the exhibition because they simply enjoy following me on Social Media and a few even told me that I am their favorite artist. How surreal!
Now it’s time to get back into the studio to finish my long list of new Commissions. Yippee!!! After all the sparkle and glamour of the exhibition, my favorite part of my job is actually getting down and dirty back in my studio!
To my lovely followers, I’m so excited to personally invite you to the Opening night of my 2016 Solo Exhibition. The Opening night is on Thursday 15th September from 7.30 pm 10 pm at the Malvern Artists Society at 1297 – 1299 High St, Malvern VIC.
